If you are currently making money online with your blog, especially by writing paid post you really don’t have to be too worried about the income. Just be worried about the consequences 1 year down the road when sponsored post took over your blog entries. Why I said you need not worry is because there are seriously too many Ad networks practicing this model. When I wrote about ReviewMe’s Advertiser marketplace, I was given a heads up on Smorty (thanks kucau), yet another Pay Per Post model.

Quickly I sign up and submit my blog for review. It got approved the afternoon itself. Let’s see what Smorty has in store.

How Smorty works?

Like I’ve mentioned earlier, its pay-per-post style. You grab a campaign, write in your blog and get paid. Here’s some requirement before you get accepted into Smorty:

* Your blog must be indexed by Google and Yahoo
* Your blog must be older than 3 months
* Your blog must not contain any violent, hate related or adult content
* Your blog must be active and have a history of minimum average 2 new posts per week

Smorty and Payments

As long as the paid entry got approved, you will be paid one week after that. Payment methods, currently is PayPal.

Verdict

Honestly I’m still not buying this. IMO, the next best paid post based Ad network that comes after PayPerPost is SponsoredReviews. You seriously need to match or be better to be in the competition. Perhaps Smorty is new. Still, its just my personal opinion.

Smorty ranked your blog based on Alexa, Google Page Ranks and some internal ranking based on performance. I scored a 750 in Smorty Score with PR5 and Alexa 23,000+ but still I’m seeing only $4.80 - $6.00 campaigns? That looks quite under promise to me. If you are a Smorty user (perhaps a paid post writter),
